An old dog

by Darclyfe   Nov 18, 2018

Breath,

You're dying and I didn't notice.

Empty.

Now my soul is.

Free,

Your soul doesn't suffer any more.

Sad,

You were someone's dad, a mentor, a lover, fighter, you touched the lives of those around you.

Mad,

An old dog does old tricks, no one cares if he died. He's not a new dog, fresh and loved. He won't be missed. That's because no one knew it. An old dog may be tired but he has the same love as any dog. Missed he will be. Because he was my dog.

Happy,

Because his pain is gone.
His suffering done.

    Sending hugs

I've been there myself quite recently. They are such a miss when we lose them.
