Thunderstruck

by CJ Maleney   Nov 18, 2018

You have arrived in my world
And you are as quick as lightening
Although so small and fluffy
Some folks see you as frightening

To all you are a mini beast
And you are not yet quite so wise
But I see you thinking and gauging things
And those smarts you do disguise

You follow in my footsteps
Because I'm never far from food
Yet you come to me for cuddles
When I am in a mood

You are not my Tyke
For he now sleeps underground
I never hoped for a replacement
But something else I found

The world has gave me one called thunder
And although you're not so loud
I envisage things to come
And I know Tyke would be proud

This is not an ode to ACA DACA
But a bit of my heart you have took
It's one that's held so dearly
And yes

I'm Thunderstruck

Sorry to hear about Tyke- they steal our hearts. A beautifully lovely write about the joys of those furry wonders that lift our souls x
