Words

Words.
It’s amazing how I’ve always been so good at
using them to explain how I feel;
How I could always seemingly fit them
together perfectly to describe what we have.
Poetry has always kind of been my journal-
And no matter what I’m going through or
what I have going on I have almost never
had trouble putting it into a beautifully crafted piece-
Even when it came to you.
But lately I’ve realized that it’s been harder
to write about you-
Not because I don’t want to but because I
can’t find the words anymore to perfectly
describe us.
And maybe that’s the thing.
Maybe after a while I wasn’t meant to put
it out there for everyone else to read
Or maybe it just wasn’t meant to be put into words and sentences and poetry-
It was only ever meant to be felt
because at some point along the way...
Words stopped being usable and accurate and;
feeling and appreciating it became
everything.
