Sometimes it seems impossible to find words to describe what you feel, knowing someone so dear to you is facing such pain in their journey... seeing the outcome unfold in front of you and just doing your best to be there for her.

This poem has a lot of pain interwoven between the lines. It’s a very image heavy poem, which you’ve become quite adept at. It’s kind of perverse to say I enjoyed this poem a lot, as I think it comes from a deep place.

I like the isolation of ‘sometime’, and I really find the middle stanza particularly strong. I’m never a fan of using exclamation points, or ‘oh’ in poetry, because I find it too over dramatic and distracting, but in this poem, if I remove it, it loses some of the emphasis. The change from the abstract imagery in the first stanza to final two is really nice. Maybe they could be taken from two different poems, and I’m not sure it was intentional but I liked the transition nonetheless. :)
