Wounds may heal, Scars are forever

Shes sitting among her loved ones wearing a smile
Its easy as she wont be needing to fake happiness for a while
When the times comes, she walks up the stairs
In her mind trying to erase any feelings of fear

Choking back tears, she grabs her blade
Cutting herself deep, life beginning to fade
A few more cuts, the job is almost complete
Just a handful of pills, then it's time to sleep

Screams of horror are heard as her body is found
Limp, cold and lifeless lying dead on the ground
In the grasp of her hand, a death note of sorry
Saying she loves them, they needn't to worry

Her body is cleaned and carefully dressed
Her hair combed out nicely, no longer a mess
Her family kiss her, then her body is put away
In preperation for the dreaded funeral day

The day arrives and everyone sits in tears
No words are spoken just shattered looks and stares
The coffin in which her body lies is lowered into the ground
People throw roses, say their goodbyes with the littlest sound

Her photo will forever remain above the fireplace
Her face will be remembered in everyones hearts
She will be missed, always and forevermore
But they know she is in a happier place
They want her to be happy

If only she was aware of how much she was loved
Maybe she wouldn't of felt intimidated to live in the world above
Her friends and family will forever feel pain
These wounds may heal yet the scars will always remain
