The Sound Of Blue

There is a sound that exits within colour,
Perhaps the colour exists within the sound.
Most will never hear or comprehend it,
But I assure you, it's all around.

It is not the sound of ocean waves,
Nor is it it's hue when she smooth.
It is not light reflected or refracted.
I first found it in a groove.

A slow reverberating, repeating, pulse.
That slowly starts to build
With your eyelids closed and mind open,
That is when your ears are filled.

Electricity, magnets and manipulative fingers,
Produce a sound that you can feel.
You swear that you can also see it,
And wonder if it's real.

Blue flickers across your synapses,
You find something that finds you.
As your body starts to move,
You have now found the sound of blue.

    You know the title and the read got my mind thinking in another
    direction especially the word "blue"...I could only associate it with sadness
    and depression and how it makes you feel...sorry my mistake its about music.
    All in all I liked the descriptions and to the place it took me..

    I absolutely love this concept. As a visual person colours are more important to me than sound but I am also a lover of music so the idea of being able to get your body and mind into a state where sound becomes colour is beautiful. Glad to see it nominated. Milly x

      Thanks Mills.

      Although something of a rock child I kinda enjoy all music. Even the repetitiveness of dance/old school trance. It was so melodic and it could make you buzz and have a fantastic evening of dancing or absolutely chill you out when reading or writing.

      Ah I was pre 30 back then lol

    I do like dance music as it goes (tell a story or two of my old days ;)

    I used to DJ a little, years ago and I found this track. It's a dance track so not to everyone's taste. I've not listened to it for years but I shoved a cd in the player in my car the other day and it came on.

    If I had never seen the colour blue I think this would have given me an idea.
