When a Snowflake Melts

by Maple Tree   Dec 17, 2018

Crystal lace adorns

skies of a darkening shade

wintry whispers explode

into a thousand secret messages

dangling upon tongues

of a silent soul-

awakening
the inner child

Andrea, your pieces are so beautiful. I too used to catch snowflakes on my tongue as a child. It brought me back to those days. You carry so much inside you, I know it weighs heavy on your heart. Like that falling snow, let it fall, ease your burden...Hugs you-
