December

by Meena Krish   Dec 21, 2018

Dancing away the sorrow of separation
Engaged in a battle of what ifs and what not,
Craving to hear your voice an endless starvation is
Etched deep within the creases of my ears,
My lifetime is labelled with loneliness which goes
Beyond pages of memories settling down with tears,
Each time the phone rings anticipation flutters...but
Rebuilding from ashes of cruel words breed more woes

Sorry I missed this one, Meena. Of all the months, December can certainly be the loneliest...

    Great acrostic.

Loneliness is such a strange emotion, and it sometimes makes people feel even closer and bonds then tighter for they suffer together in that feeling. It is a beautiful write.
