What Could This Be?

Brown eyes--
But, in the light some little hazel parts.
What did I see in them yesterday,
As their light stayed in my heart?
Those eyes gazing into my soul,
Making me feel whole--
But I must play my part.
What are you to me?
Are we friends, lovers,
Or in between?
I kiss you and I wonder--
What could we be?
Well... I'm still here waiting,
Yearning for thee.

    The character reveals he is teetering on the edge, yearning for their love yet keeping a slight distance still not sure whether the feelings are mutual. Love can be confusing especially in the beginning, that getting to know someone. Milly x
