Not So Hot

by Milly Hayward   Jan 21, 2019

Be glad your health is not impaired
by some strange illness that is shared
for if you were, you could be ill
with some debilitating chill

A chill will make you hot and cold
till in your bed you've swiftly rolled
the sweats will come and drown your sheet
your misery will be complete

If a fever, then death is near
you may be dead within the year
Drink your water avoid the food
take the medicine that's been brewed

When influenza seems most bleak
your on the mend, just very weak
wrap up warm and do not worry
just don't eat that iffy curry

I guess the majority of us can vouch for the unfortunate events after an "iffy curry" or meal for that instance why do we do it to ourselves lol? Fabulous, fun write had me laughing xx

There is a joy and ease reading your works. Specially this because there is a sisterly- motherly intonation that suits everyone regardless of their age or gender.

Ah, we have all been there... I recall an evening out and really tasty Chicken Masala. The next morning, I spent the morning and much of the afternoon in the smallest room in the house.

A humorous twist revealed at the end. Just how I like 'em. x
