Blurred Vision

by Walter   Jan 21, 2019

Like an old recurring memory
Like a feeling that was meant to be
Where once it was you and me
I wish that I was there

I can still feel you in my arms
Your intoxicating magic charm
Before our hearts came to harm
And turned into despair

How and why did we go wrong?
I thought our love was so strong
We both believed that we belong
Standing side by side

I wish I knew from the start
Before we came to fall apart
That day when you broke my heart
My love for you denied

Time have passed and you're still gone
Now made to feel more alone
My love for you has only grown
I never can forget

Then one day without a clue
My path crossed in front you
And you act like I'm someone who
Might become a threat

You stop and turn without a care
It hurts to see somebody there
A man whose life now you share
And I make you annoyed

Memories of you which I held tight
Dreams reoccurring every night
With hope one day we just might
Have now been all destroyed

Love can be so difficult to navigate in a world where not everyone is honest. It can be particularly heartbreaking when someone leaves you and moves on seemingly without a care but sometimes seeing they are no longer an option is the catalyst to help you move on to find real love. Big hugs Milly x

I couldn't agree more Milly and it can be hard when someone leaves you for someone else. But as you say, finding real love where love is mutual is so much better than trying to put up with in a one-sided relationship. Thank you, and hugs back x :)

It's hard to suddenly come face to face with an ex, one you are obviously still in love with and they dont feel the same. It's hard knowing you also have to move on and you are not ready to do so.

Thanks Brenda and often we need this realization before we are able to move on.
