I really loved the positivity and determination that carries this poem. The Phoenix is an apt image, and I liked the repetition, as it reads like a poetic mantra. :)

What an inspirational poem, Megan. People spend their whole lives making it right for others and often never realise that they themselves are suffering because of that. Enjoy your 'me time'. Sounds like you deserve it.

    All the best,
    Ben

Thank you very much Ben. Sometimes it takes a hurt more painful and more unexpected than you could ever imagine to shatter that 'making it right for others' pattern. But after, there is peace, and in that peace I am enjoying a renewed creativity.
      Best to you,
      Megan

This is an inspiring piece that shows the metamorphosis of someone on a journey of self growth. Learning that it is ok to be confident and be kind and compassionate to yourself is liberating and brings a much more harmonious peaceful life. Only when you can do that can you truly be the person that you are meant to be. Its lovely to see the phoenix rise from the ashes and become the beautiful bird she is meant to be. A lovely piece.
