Spider Hell

by Milly Hayward   Jan 23, 2019

There is a spider in my bath
it's staring up at me
I'm pretending I cant see it
but its eyes I clearly see

It sauntered slowly past the tap
then wandered back again
then sprang over the rubber plug
and landed on the chain

The spider moved then leapt at me
a hairy beast from hell
It landed neatly on my knee
and I began to yell

It scuttled up and down my thigh
I jumped up off the loo
fell down with my legs awry
tripped over by my shoe

At last I flung away the beast
and stared at him in dread
I'm sorry but not sad to say
I squashed him good and dead
