Timing

by Dagmar Wilson   Jan 26, 2019

I can hear the rain
watch the branches move,
clouds are hanging low.

The air feels wet
birds are protecting their nest,
squirrels are seeking shelter.

Traffic is heavy
wipers are spinning fast,
the clock is ticking.

I love how the tone reads both ominous yet anxious for the change in weather and the change that will affect us all in some way.

The brevity works so well to create those visuals and moments that predict what will come and how we prepare for nature!

It seems that you sliced a moment diagonally only to see it more clear or for the sake of figurative dissection of the sadness and beauty of that moment, or better to magnify the feeling of that moment.
