Will you love me?
Like warm kisses in the morning,
Soft goodbyes that linger--
Quiet nights when you hold me?
Will you love me?
Like that feeling when eyes meet,
When I kiss your cheek,
When you come by to speak to me?
Will you love me?
Like fire and passion
Or stars of every fashion
With love-- not dormant but in action?
Will you love me?
Like a pretty songbird singing--
Or a quiet day that's bringing
Warmth and rays of light
That sparkle within bright?
I wonder pretty baby,
If you were my lady,
Would you love me maybe?

    Some lovely wording throughout. I did struggle a bit with 'that sparkle within bright'. It sounded a tad forced there, but the poem as a whole is wonderful to read.
