It is true that those 'storms' are the ones that seem to create the deepest poetry. I find it's best Togo with the flo and write of the world, oh yes let it grow like a beanstalk, I 'spose. X

Kitty, no one understands this poem more than me! Unless I am miserable, I cannot write! Hence my constant output, lol. Sometimes, I actually FORCE myself to write a happy poem just to vary things up a bit! I personally feel the vast majority of the greatest art (in any field) comes from a dark place.

    Great to have you back.

Thanks Ben, and I totally agree with you but it makes me sad anyhow. I'll concentrate on some happy stuff :-) x

I absolutely love this. I loved your wording and how easily it flowed. I feel like it’s easier to write about struggles sometimes just because it cleanses the soul. I’m not even sure if it’s good or bad, bits more people can relate to it than any other topic usually.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments x I started writing poetry during a particularly tough time in my life and the poems just poured out of me. It never occurred to me that I'd be stumped for words when I was finally happy! I'm not complaining though :-) x

This is amazing. I definitely can relate to this. Every time I write in happiness, it never turns out as well as the darkness. Great write, really flows well!

Miss Kitty, one of life's quandarys...misery brings creativity, happiness stalls us. Well done with this-

The miserable times cause us to really appreciate the "Good Times" After the great darkness of the thunder storm, the sun's rays appear slicing through the clouds, and the Rainbow lifts the sagging spirit's. After all that is said, we all really love the light of life.
Your poem reveals a heart longing that the respite be brief, the souls relief.

    Great work!
