The Eagle and the Vulture

The Eagle and the Vulture

Both soar high in the sky, the Eagle seeks prey, while the Vulture seeks decay. If I may, the habits of these big birds may apply to some of mankind today, for instance, both kill, and eat. The Eagle kills quickly, the Vulture waits, and takes its time, I see this in mankind, the merciful, verses the evil ones, lurking, plotting their crime, one of the Devil, one of the Divine.

Did you know that God allows *killing, but, condemns murder? Way back in the Garden of Eden, we and all the creatures ate only plants, suffered no bites from the ants. When our ancestors sinned against God, things changed, but not for good. The creatures then preyed upon each other, they killed to survive, man became the first murderer when Cain murdered Able, and today, we still kill to eat, and the friendship of the creatures has come to an end. The whole world groans under the curse that was placed upon it, awaiting the final redemption that the Holy Scriptures mention.

There are times when evil Army’s murder people, God then raises up his great hordes, to kill the enemies, as written, they will be put down by the sword. In all the world’s great Wars, past and present, to this day, the Vultures eat their flesh, drawn by the smell, but the Eagle stays away. Those released Souls go to their appointed place, Heaven or Hell. God holds the Eagle in high esteem, he compares them to his love for his own, like that of the Eagles special care of its chicks when they are young, if they fall from their nest, she swoops down, and upon her wing, they are brought back home.

*The original Hebrew word for Kill in the Ten Commandments is; Ratzach, which means “Murder”.

My dear Ken thank you for sharing and add to my favorite. Humans kill for fun and they seem to get excited by watching somebody die. In the animal world it's the old and sick they kill that's how they survive. When it comes to an eagle what an amazing beautiful bird. Hugs to you
