You Call It Sin

by DarkNDangerous   Feb 21, 2019

You call it sin,
Yet don’t see what makes me truly happy.
When I touch her soul and beauty,
When she consumes my closet of skeletons.

You call it sin,
Force me to be a trinitarian.
When I lust after immoral situations,
When you see my trinity does not include your entity.

You call it sin,
Instead of acknowledge my painful past.
When I take control instead of drown,
When my kinks set me free.

You call it sin,
For this invisible leader you follow blind.
When I live my life to the fullest,
When I have no regrets to leave behind.

This speaks volumes in more ways than one. To live for yourself and not for others. To have your own belief of what life is instead of following the masses. That feeling of being judged because others choose not to understand, when others choose not to accept what is normal for you. The poem was as smooth as silk but carried a lot of pain and emotion behind each stanza. A poem that many can relate to. This was masterfully written in my opinion. Good job

This is a truly brave write

some avoid tackling what may be considered by many as taboo.

Yet how many hurts are conveyed in words of poetry. How many are disguised and written in a metaphorical context.

I guess what you have written may not sit well with many but thats down to them.

    Respect

Thank you Craig. That means a lot. I agree, not many people would like this, but that was kind of the point. It was written for those people and show to people like me they are not alone.

Who is to judge what one person does? A lot of food for thought in this write. Well done-
