The Princess and the Paintbrush

by Aegis   Mar 8, 2019

My ears are abuzz with wood sprites
and water nymphs-

a conclave of mystic beings
too surreal to
articulate.

(But oh!

..how I wish I could draw the way
your lips took the shape of
the crescent moon
on a March
night..)

If only I had brushes,

instead
of
bruised lips.

I could read a book filled with your poems and always feel the intensity of the words.

That means so much to me! I've been working for 4 years almost to get up to 100 poems with the intention of publishing them. Now I have 120+ I think and haven't tried to publish anything:/ I hope to get around to it soon tho. I couldn't have done it without the community on this site and all the wonderful support ??????
