The first thing that comes to mind reading this is when people say "oh that's a cry for help" in a negative or condescending way... when a cry or call for help, and being vulnerable, is a big deal. Your words are raw with emotion here and I hope you know there is support there. I hate that it has to come to people revealing their real sides, or saying they care yet do not stick around. It's heartbreaking because we fake smiles and expressions and perhaps deep down we hope someone will notice the change. And reach out. I don't always feel it's realistic to always ask the person dealing with this to continuously reach out, because truthfully, sometimes that's hard and exhausting. That doesn't mean weakness. We can only do so much. |
