The Mourning Dove

The Mourning Dove

I am a gentle soul, my sign is one of Peace, to the far West, and, to the Far East. People’s hearts are stirred, many tears are shed, when the Angel of death, stands by their bed, drawing out their last gasp of breath.

Shouts of joy ring out, when my cousins are released at your Ceremonies, minds, lulled into a temporary peace, far from the distant rumble of the cannon fire in the East.

I can still remember my descending upon a special one, The King of Peace. I was very surprised to hear those shouting, behold the *Lamb of God, who takes away the Sins of the World. How could a Lamb bring peace to such a troubled Land?

Upon the Temple Mount I did land, this was the Holy Day of the Sacrifice for the sins of man, a spotless Lamb, had its throat cut by the High Priest’s own hand, burned upon the Altar of God as a sweet aroma, like the smearing of blood upon the door posts, this temporary Offering pointed to a once for all sacrifice of the King of the Universe’s only Son.

I was there when upon a rugged Cross he hung, the crucified one, I was heartbroken, when I heard his sighs, and, moans, yet he forgave all for this, it was his Father’s will, that he alone, would pay the ransom for all mankinds sin. I began mourning, which became my name, this was truly, The Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the World, his followers, to this day, are like beautiful pearls.

It was a bright Sunday morning when I awoke at his Tomb, Angels greeted the women he loved, an empty Tomb they saw, but, Jesus appeared to them at the door, they fell to worship him at his feet. This restored great honor to all women, on this resurrection mourn, a new day was born, a day of Good News, the Lamb was now, The Lion of Juda, sitting at the Right Hand of God the Father.

He offers salvation to all who will believe in him, his Holy Spirit within you will dwell, you will escape the Great Tribulation, and, the flames of Hell.

*Animal/Bird Sacrifices were a temporary pleasing act to God until Christ Jesus was born as the true Lamb of God, and paying the ultimate Sacrifice of himself, dying for his enemies, all fallen mankind. Isaiah 53 describes his death, he fulfilled all the Law, and, the Prophets. Moses, and, Elijah confirmed it.
