A Christian Prayer (Sonnet)

by Milly Hayward   Apr 30, 2019

Clip not the blind of wings to let them soar
give them the tools a path your love to find
send signs to open up their heart and core
and save again the children called mankind

Good and evil rage perpetual war
But with my christian faith I am defined
I beg thee strength to face this endless chore
that you in your blessed wisdom have assigned

Pray that I might receive your blessings all
to walk my path in your eternal light
so you will guide and catch me when I fall
steer me to strive for life considered right

Grant at the end I'll gaze upon your face
and live forever in your loving grace

Marvelous Milly, it grabbed this believer's heart! Our sure Hope, you richly displayed, a deep concern for a fallen world with it's cruelty to the many, who are created in God's own image and likeness.
Great work, added to my Favorites.
The blessing of His love, and, Peace upon you, and, your Family.
