Heavenly place

by Dagmar Wilson   Apr 30, 2019

I came across a field of unfamiliar flowers
their scent carried a spice
the colors were mystic with a touch of London blue.

As I am approaching
the leaves spontaneously detangled
leading me to a lake.

This is my world
my mind can shift,
this heavenly place accepts me for me.

One day I will walk over the rainbow
crossing this final bridge
giving up earth for a higher much better place.
My soul is being set free.

    Miss Dagmar,

Such a gentle, but powerful piece you have written. I really like your choice of words and imagery.

Dagmar This piece is woven with exquisite emotion. A place that you can carry with you and escape to just for a moment whenever you need to is something that we all need as a little piece of heaven that keeps us sane. Yet that melancholy twist at the end.. The final walk over the rainbow to reach a better place brings images of peace and beauty yet the sad loss of your soul gone forth to freedom tugs tightly at my heart. Milly x

Sad and uplifting all at once, Dagmar.

Take care and all the very best as ever,
