Critical Perspective

by Jack David   May 25, 2019

The depths of reality become more shallow with each inhale
And the worries and blunders of yesterday start to become stale
The nagging, gnawing and clawing retire for the moment
Calmness and rationality take their place as my bestowment
Illusions of fake tethers to vein self-proclamations shatter
As a cloud of perspective fills my head to make sense of the things that matter

Nicely written poem with pleasing rhyme throughout. It seems this poem was truly cathartic for you.
    Take care.
