flower kebabs

left as
a gift
on a Parkside seat
displayed
quite neat:

- a-flower-kebab -

- a-flower-kebab -

- a-flower-kebab -

Pairs of shoes
2 pink, 1 blue
had searched
skipped and danced
and
let's be honest,
gone berserk
over dirt,
high-like
bee-like
buzzing-like
between the
broken leathered
branches of
Rhododendron
and Azaleas
Collecting, selecting
the prettiest
the fanciest
and
the bestest
scatterings of
showered-flowers

then
with their
finest, straightest
sticks
they
picked
and
lanced
the bounty
skewer-like
not by chance-like:
1 pink
1 blue
1 pink
1 blue

then. . .

left as
a gift
on a Parkside seat
displayed
quite neat:

- a-flower-kebab -

- a-flower-kebab -

- a-flower-kebab -

A lovely piece that took me to back to my childhood when we filled our time collecting petals (or crabs and shells if by the sea). Milly x

Thanks, Milly. The closest I came to this in my childhood was daisy chains. X
