Simplest Form of Happiness

by Star   May 27, 2019

The pink string wraps around
her slim arm, while it’s other end
draws a smile upon her face.
It floats midway to the sky, as if
guiding her innocent heart to
a simple ray of happiness.
Her eyes not losing their spark,
although, the balloon sways
and hides the sun.
She reaches her hands up
to grasp an unknown future
that may got lost in this
wide universe.

But she still smiles;
for she finds joy
within the
simplest
things.

I do like shape poetry. Your words are right, it's just the spacing of the lines that needs tweaking. Look at my Montgolfier poem. X

I think it seems 'quite right'. In fact, darn it to hell, it feels so right I may just nominate it! It really is the simple things in life that bring the most pleasure, isn't it?
By the way, as a side note and it's completely up to you of course, but I can't help wanting to read 'simplest things' at the end there. Or 'simplest OF things'.

Anyway, take care and stay well,

    Ben
