Bent Moons Still Shine:

by Scott Cole   May 29, 2019

In a World where shadows
Remove the sunlight,
And all that sparkle
Blends with the night.

Where our true colors
Cast no silhouettes,
Swallowed up by darkness
Without breaking a sweat.

In all of that gloomliness
Reflections are few,
So all that we stand for
Barely breaks through.

Amongst that blackness
The visible is dim,
But it only takes a spark
To light it up again.

Just a flicker of hope
Is all that it takes,
To highlight the Heavens
And remove it's opaque.

For even the moon
That's half broke in two,
Though it's not whole
Will still shine for you.

So don't doubt your worth
If your feeling slight,
Though you're not altogether
You can still shine your light.

Scott this is another really good piece. I love the rhyming and the imagery and emotion is superb. Another one for my favorites. Milly x
