Parting

by Mortal Utopia   May 31, 2019

I still had so much to say
between our stunted farewells:
with stories to tell,
of how I want to stay,
and to wish, really wish, you well.
But now time passes and counts and spells
our ages and wrinkles - we've really grown tall.
And so we dream and fall
into futures too far apart -
perhaps it's really time for us to part.
