My Galaxy Rose:

by Scott Cole   Jun 6, 2019

My eyes have never beheld a view
With a celestial body as dazzling as you,
For you keepeth the stars arrayed
Those constellations of your milky way.

Your eight planets and their moons
Do so ever make my breath loom,
And your silky smooth and glowing skin
Cause my weightless heart to tailspin.

Oh your cluster of heavenly attributes
Supersede all others with absolute,
For not another of this universe
Is more distinguishing or diverse.

All the light that bounces off of you
Keep all of this solar system glued,
And the gravity that binds you together
Is so blessed to touch all your pleasure.

You're far grandeur than all you do orbit
And without you all would be dormant,
For without your giving doppler shift
Needy eyes would never receive your gift.

You send quasars pulsating my soul
With all that you do grace and mold,
And you're everything I ever dreamed of
For you're my deepest astronomical love.

You're out of this world and untouchable
For your awe particles are invincibe,
So none on earth could dare compare
To all of the splendor that you do wear.

Nobody, not one holds a candle to thee
For you cast shame with all your glee,
You're my truest heart, my galaxy rose
And I adore you from your head to your toes.

Hi, Scott. This is a wonderful galactic poem. Its literary crammed of universe references, like a milky way full of stars.

    Nice work.
BTW just check over for typos.

An astronomical piece indeed :) Enjoyed very much the planetary metaphors and the title just sets it off nicely. Milly x
