"expect n9thing, appreciate everything" I do find a lot of people never really live their life until something dire happens and a lot of times it is too late then. That is why I like when people say live in the moment because you truly never know what is going to happen next even in the next second you could just die. This really is a great poem because it showcases the reality vs expected reality of a situation. The question is why do people wait so long to live their life? I do believe that most people are afraid of failure and in that, they take the easy way out, so to speak.

I really like how you used doctor here, because it showcases the crux of the poem, that people will trust a doctor more than anyone else in their life, even if they don't know the doctor well. I think it is a safety net, and I know a dark situation is nothing to sneeze at, but it is just having a person metaphorically slapping you in the face to "wake up". You don't really need another person to tell you to live the best way you can.

I do love the emotion you conveyed here though because it feels like the person you created was already feel low about themselves and needed a wake up call. The structure of the poem itself is great because it flows and doesn't stray from the emotions and topic at hand. I also love the title because awakening can be thought about in many different ways, so it fits perfectly. I have nothing bad to say about the poem itself. well done

At some point in everyones life there comes a time when you get sruck in the mediocracy of every day life and gradually things that you would like to do becomes something to do tomorrow or when you retire. Truth is that often tomorrow never comes. Then when death stands at the door he either sparks that last minute push to squeeze everything in before it's too late or you go the other way which is to welcome death regardless. A thought provoking piece. Milly x
