Our Destination

by Marc Ortiz   Jun 11, 2019

If you can describe friendships in one word,
How would you tell it to another person?
Mine can be depicted as a comet travelling
Through the dark, mysterious and obscure cosmos.

We drifted through the unknown in the galaxy
Illuminating each other’s path in the dark.
Our friendship was a solid rock that was meant
To travel a million years in our lifetime.

But nothing is perfect in this world.
No one can foresee the future ahead of our course.
We dreamed of reaching our destination as one
But we had hit some rocky roads in our path.

We were vaporised into separate fragments.
We were falling from the sky and landed,
Into different parts in this planet.
In the end we were never united again.

But whenever I gazed into the night sky,
I remember the journey that we had.
And even though they are no longer in my life
I am thankful for their life, that helped me reached

My destination

Relationships are many, some last a lifetime and others, though gone still longer in the cosmos of memories.
    Nice work.

What a beautiful way of looking at friendship. Friends come in and out of our lives but I think that we each bring value be it a lesson or a gift and some stay and some go but they all leave footprints on our lives. I loved the idea that no matter where they are now you can always look up to the stars and remember them. Milly x
