Despite the dark tone of this piece I couldn't help hearing the musical flow in it. The first couple of lines of the first stanzas got me humming that lovely upbeat song from Mary Poppins
"Lets go fly a kite" with images of playing hide and seek in the woods. Which was quite deliciously disconcerting when I drilled down and found that the more I read the more it was revealed that this is quite a sinister piece. "The owner of suffering, the killer of hope" and the inference that you will come and join it/his friends when it/he decides that this ends is like the thread of death or something much worse. Watching someone when they dream and are at their most vulnerable adds to the sense of foreboding and being the noise in the night the one that's much more than it seems immediately
screams "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!" A mini psychological thriller :) Milly x

This reminded me of the movie It. It is like the words the clown/It/Pennywise or whatever he is called, keeps telling the kids while following them.
I also like the rhythm, it makes you want to reread the poem.
