The Angel in Prison

by Maple Tree   Jun 17, 2019

She was placed in an environment
where lost angels have gathered.

Women with a past so violent
that people never speak of,
and yet she has become a
beacon of light for their weary eyes.

She speaks of Cancer and Drug Addiction
like its normal to have both; while in prison.

Her strength captivates hearts
who have been angry for years
and this woman has managed
to soften their bitterness and make
them cry.

In all her darkness
she has managed to
give them hope,
and I am so proud

to call her my daughter.

I am proud of her too and she is such an inspiration. Thank you for sharing her bravery, story and encouragement on here. I can't fathom how many she gives hope too. And that is a truly selfless, beautiful thing.
