Formation

by ddavidd   Jul 4, 2019

In the metamorphosis of formation
shapes ache to attend to their final cause
in portion.
Each portion
is a compile of fractions and motions.
Each motion
contains the genetic code of a figure or an incarnation.

Each motion is a shift of position in
the harmonic arrangement, a system,
constantly poising against opposite forces,
burning and forming
becoming and fuming,
sculpturing endless shapes by
continually moulding and being moulded
by constantly dying and being born.
.
And systems
in the layers of new motions
step by step
Loop to loop,
fasten to the chain of age's burials
and new orders of forms come to the life
via continuance
in the ladder of contingency
and rupture
in the loops of consistency.

By disengaged I meant that I am probably not engaged in the topic rather than the content of the poem was disengaged. Thanks for your explanation. Keep writing how ever you feel like doing so. It feels good to just write.

Sometimes I feel like you are trying so hard to “rhyme” it that it takes away from the content of the poem. That’s just me though. For all I know, It could just be that I have no clue what you are talking about in the poem. I am disengaged.

Other than that, it looks to me that the poem is talking about the cycle of life. Birth and death.

I did not want to ENGAGE in this one. I just wanted to say my thought and put it out there. It is like a relief, even with no audience.
Also, this is philosophical, hard to understand, (not everyone is allowed), and seemingly pretentious, but who cars: Doing the right thing very often includes being misunderstood and ridiculed. Poetry actually impowers philosophy, as much as vice-versa. I also did not at all try to rhyme in this one, contingency and consistency are really paradoxical opponents. The meaning made it that way.
