PHOENIX

by Kesley   Jul 11, 2019

People show up how they want,
The hardest lesson to learn.
Feelings impossible to flaunt,
When you have a fear to burn.

One that rises from the ashes.
Reminded of that legend,
The heat waves, and hot flashes
Giving up is the only end.

Past lives remembering the pain
As well of that pure blissfulness
Lessons bring us towards gains
If you take the lessons fullness

Catch your breath and move forward
Legends are formed from hard work.

Well-penned! The title of the poem ties in nicely with the title!
