false prophets

by KAZ ISHMAEL   Jul 20, 2019

There are a lot of false prophets amongst us
That is very good with a speech
But if you look at them carefully
You will realize that they don’t practice what they preach

And a false speaker will be very convincing
Trying so hard to a project a glow
To pull wool over your eyes
Hoping that blindly you will follow

False prophets are from all races
Walks of life and religions
Some waving a sword or an olive branch
They all have the same agenda and mission

It’s greed, wealth, control and power
A combination of it all
Just tell the people what they want to hear
And some will click their heels when you call

False prophets are more prominent today
In today’s world of acceptance and tolerance
This culture is more eager for an easy religion
One that requires no effort and offers no consequences

This generation more than any other
Wants to live however they’d like
Without boundaries or authority
And false prophets know how to reel them in for a bite

And unfortunately, there are plenty of false prophets
That is eager to give the people what they want to hear
And they end up making a large sum of money off it
As long as the right words reach the people's ear

You will see false prophets on tv
You will read of them in books
Taking collections from the poor minimum wages people
While filling up their checkbooks

Some brainwashing the uneducated
strapping bombs to kill men women and children
promising them one hundred virgins
when they died and go to heaven

some false prophets say it’s okay to hate others
as long as they are of another faith
some spend billions in outer of space
while children don’t have food on their plates

the false prophets of the modern era
they have no fear of god
they tell their followers that God will forgive all
live as you want, call his name and don’t fear the sword

Giving false philosophy
Might not weight heavy on your conscience
If you can’t practice what you preach
Then stop using peoples mind for your own convenience

Many will abuse the words of faith
If they can use it to amass a world of wealth
fake religious figures will take your last cent
and don’t care if you’re sick or suffering from poor health

in Jeremiah 23:14 he wrote
“I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem
horrible things: they commit adultery and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers,
that none of them doth return from his wickedness, they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants therefore as Gomorrah:

false prophets are great actors
and they have to fulfill the bibles script
and the bible also says don’t just anyone
so, we must not point our fingers and keep a tight lip

We all have our own battle on our hands
It makes our life’s comfortable
We work hard to have a little money
To enjoy a lifestyle that’s affordable

All of us have hopes and dreams
And our needs take first priority
We all want to provide for our family
A home of comfort, with love and stability

Everyone sets their own table
And how much sugar they put in their tea
No one wants their boat to be rocking
In today's world of uncertainty

And on the future roads, we will travel
We will have to push and get a shove
And the only comfort we carry in our heart
Is that of the people we truly love

Dear Kaz, I love this work! If I could, I would have Nominated it. From a poor family I came, God in his great compassion and mercy regenerated me by his Holy Spirit, made me a New Creation in Christ.
You are spot on with your writings, it's like they are my own. As my daughter would say; The whole world is going to Hell in a handbag! So many Politicians are corrupt by lust for power and money today, but my biggest grief is "Man's Religion", they fleece the congregation by endless giving projects, using the Prophet Malachi to strike fear, quoting to them; "You have robbed me!" Truth is, this was said to the Jews, not to Christians. Jesus told the religious Jews that they should pay Tithes, they were under the Law of Moses, but, Jesus never paid the Tithe, nor told his Disciples to do so, he however did pay Taxes, to keep the Government running which he established. (Romans 13:1).
Great lines of truth; Many will abuse the words of faith
If they can use it to amass a world of wealth
fake religious figures will take your last cent
and don’t care if you’re sick or suffering from poor health. Keep up your great efforts, you will reap the rewards in his Will in due season.
