Alexa? Oh, Alexa is like the Siri in iPhones and also like “Hey google”, right?

I don’t think ignorance is power. I actually believe that ignorance can be bliss but not always. It depends on the situation. Knowledge on the other hand can be seen as power. The more one knows the better because that means one is less ignorant, yet no matter how much one knows, one is and will still be an ignorant. Isn’t that sad? Does it mean we always live in a state of bliss? It will be nice if we did lol

So it’s hard for me to fully agree with the first line.
However, I enjoyed reading your piece. It’s making me think. Thanks for sharing and welcome to PnQ.

Yes, Alexa of Google :) And the first line is sarcasm and is echoing George Orwell's 1984. In Orwell's novel, the State propaganda machine pushes the slogan "Ignorance is Strength." It sounds like a contradiction, but State propaganda (or any kind of propaganda) often contains contradictions that seem absurd, yet it is expected to be believed. I was also contrasting it with the slogan "knowledge is power." I guess I am saying with our devices and digital media, ignorance comes across as power because ignorance is bliss, but in reality it is just blind to the actual powers that harm us, and so we are not really in a state of bliss. Thanks for reading and for your comments!
