Take me

by Leo Fawaz Martini   Aug 27, 2019

Take me!

Take me in no time … take me
to a place where there is just a sky,
no moon, no sun
no wind, no rain no sorrow nor fun,
no disappointment, neither there is ecstasy.
Take me to a place where there’s no language,
no words, no talk but no silence though;
semiotic signs have confused my brain
And disturbed my turbulent thoughts.
Noise of the chattering crowd
is more than I could cope with so how can I flee?
From the deep valley to the mountain top
To give a cloud a long long hug and dissolve
into the vapour of the sea.
When would the lights be turned off?
When would the colours be
one charming pure uniformity?
When would the ticking of the seconds stop?
No days, no years, no numbers to count endlessly.
Complacence, tranquil tranquillity
Where truth is not said by words,
nor expressed by symbolistic conventions.
Take me to a place where nothing new is the best invention.
A stretch of endless extension
where no faces to remember, or to differentiate.
The soul is thirsty where nothing could satiate
the unknown unknowness of the void.
The nothingness of the things we claim we know
is just a formless conception
So please take me
out of my slumberous reality.
I want to wake up from this illusive dream
and leave the drowsy bed to journey
to where I longed to be;
with the Infinite … for infinity
