Though it may take years, believe they can be mended. Those last few lines are full of hope yet heartbreaking because self-harm can take so much from us - it can make us rethink our self worth, it can make us carry shame as we grow older. But hopefully, some day, those scars will not burden us, will not bring us back to a time where we felt we lost parts of ourselves.
