The Train of Dreams

The Train of Dreams

As the old steam engine locomotive locked it’s brakes, the huge steel wheels let out a high pitched squeal, the Platform passengers cupped their ears, gritted teeth, a little girl cried eek!

It was the hundred plus cars that pushed the grand old iron lady past her Station, her home, and throne. This legendary train was said to be bewitched, especially, that a Fortune Teller was always present, with her black cat, and, Ouija Board, also with an evil hoard.

She would cry out; for a few penny’s a day, I will keep your evil spirits away! Each of the cars had its own particular dreams, tailor made for each person. A potion was given in the tea, a few sips, and, off you go into the dream land, a shadowy figure grips you’re very shaky hand.

Many screems were heard coming from the cars, it was Halloween, Satan had loosed his Demons to terrify the lost, even in their dreams, they were held captive to his will, and, schemes.

The Caboose was the Train’s special car, brightly lit, people singing Gosple songs, the light came from a man clothed in all white. His words rumbled like rolling thunder, I Am the First, and the Last. I chose you on this Train to be at the last, because the Last shall be First, and none of you, will ever thirst.

This Train poem is a metaphor for what the Bible says about the great divide between the righteous, and evil deceased, they are in two places, one in torment, the other in Peace.
