Carnage

by MariAnn C.   Oct 30, 2019

Winter skies reveal trechary
Fall leaves are fallen souls
The woods eyes peer out
Of the broken shell inside
Icy blue
Cold as the snow itself
The wolf snarls

What vexed this soul
Competition, loss, and love
Battling for ones affections
But it leaves carnage and devastation

Love can be cruel
It can give life
Or death alike
Love or being in love
Can be both blessed
Or curse.
Carnage none the less
