Perpendicular

by D.   Nov 4, 2019

I like watching the sky combust
into constellations of flocking
nightingale - but you look up
and all you see is a gloomy
November, masked by fire
and smoke.

I can find solace in an empty
room, but to you, the room
is a lifeless one, the curtains
closed, the memories gone.

I may read one word a hundred
ways, see the world through
another’s eyes. I waste my time
on seeing, whilst you just live
your life.

When I kissed you,
you kissed me too.

Such a creative way of saying "opposites attract". You care for every detail, and see extraordinary images in ordinary things that surround you. She's more the realistic in the relationship, the risk-taker. You watch the moment, she lives in the moment. But that didn't change how you feel for each other. On the contrary, it makes you complete each other. You're two perpendicular lines, meeting in the end. Magnificent.

    Judging Comment:

Daniel here is contradicting his views for life with someone else views. And for me personally, I could feel disappointment coming from him, but not towards someone specifically, but maybe society or life in general. Perhaps this person is influenced by the society, or even maybe it is society itself and not a person.
    I really enjoyed this write!!
