Inspiration

by Tanya Southey   Nov 8, 2019

Sometimes inspiration
comes in a bolt,
a light that stirs internally,
and shifts the mood from
low and slow, to joy

Something so powerful
should be vast and magnificent,
but in reality, it is normally small;

The way the slipping sun falls
through the trees;
a dog-filled lap;
a word left lying around,
waiting to be picked up,
by a passer-by who has been
waiting for a sign

And all it said was ‘you’.
