Drifting, A Sense

by Ocean Chant   Nov 24, 2019

We are afraid.
Meaninglessly,
We run
Only to be fugitives
Of ourselves.
We live with fear.
Once realized
A catatonic self
Empowers.
We stay afraid
But of who?
Per say.
Say.

Oof, boy did this hit me! The "we run only to be fugitives of ourselves" is so powerful. Whether running away because we are afraid to face reality, or don't know how to handle its weight.... whether running in hopes of finding something, some meaning so we can finally settle in a place we feel safe.

Our demise can be led by fear. Fear to move, fear to stay, fear to speak, so we become catatonic, unable to see a future where we break out of ourselves, so to speak.

    Love this a lot!

I wonder that too... but of who is that we stay afraid?
I hope you are able to find the answer. Thanks for sharing.
