Silken Butterflies

by ddavidd   Dec 22, 2019

Butterflies, butterflies
here and there,
butterflies everywhere,
in
the fabric
of everything
silk and fair,

in the mould
of the fashions, that fair people would rather tear and wear,
on the designs, skilfully fashioned to flair.

Butterflies
when the winds
wing your hair.
when between the mirrors of me and you
the giggle fly and flare.
Butterflies we are,
when two parted soul pair,
when we bridge one another,
when in our discordance
we forswear,

an oneness
that only two, could share
two that dissolves in one another’s
reciprocal
care,

and when they can't
butterfly
disappear
like bubbles bursting
in the air.
