I liked the smooth ambiguity of this poem. It could be read to fit a situation where someone is waiting for medical results that could make or break someone's life or the much bigger image of politics and country leadership gone wrong. Clever and emotionally powerful write. Milly x |
Milly spot on. I spent 8 weeks waiting for results while my mum was in hospital. My first draft had the doctor in the first line. Thanks for the feedback. |
There's almost an eeriness I felt while reading this, and a vulnerability in never fully knowing what the future will be like. Making the decision between moving forward or staying, putting weight into our choices and wondering how much will be affected or if the world will be kind or cruel to us, nevertheless. |
Thanks so much. I have still been doing my weekly poem but have been remiss posting here. Will reform my ways :) |
