A thorn to my throat

by Anne Moore   Jan 7, 2020

Standing here in this room
Of a thousand people
I'm still alone
Like I'm a freak out of place

Standing here makes me feel as though
I have a thorn to my throat
Bleach in my eyes
Blades under my skin
And kerosene in my blood

Standing here in this room
With you
I feel your bitter silence
And your cold stare

Standing here makes me feel as though
I have a thorn to my throat
Bleach in my eyes
Blades under my skin
And kerosene in my blood

Standing here makes me wonder
If I did something?
Did I say something?
Did I not do something you needed doing?
But most of all makes me wonder if I ever had any friends at all

The repeated part kept replaying in my head, like chorus. I want to sung it.
It is very sad to feel left out, when you are surrounded by people, especially when you love them..
