I am deeply struggling with words, as this is such an intimate and vulnerable piece. I am so sorry for your sorrow, for the "before" and all the "afters" that are now a part of your life, and a part of who you are.

I think it's incredibly human of us to feel guilt FOR grieving, though I have not personally experienced a grief like this, I think it's foolish in some ways for others to impose what form our grief should take or in what ways it should be managed, etc. It's heartbreaking to me that you, or anyone, has to ever chastise themselves or feel poorly for still grieving.

You have such a loving heart, and I know how easily we can beat ourselves up for the not knowing, not being there, etc. I hope you can find some peace and some healing, when it's the right time, when you need it the most.

My heart is with you <3

There is no "past the time that seems reasonable for grief". No amount of time is enough to make you stop grieving over someone you love. You're an awesome poet, Jane. With a few true words, you move me. Love you.

This is really sad I liked it though! I think a lot of people will relate. I hope you're doing okay!

    Can you write more, please?

I revisited this, and remembered how heart-wrenching your voice is.
