It's not about the game but how you learn to play sometimes
It's not about the silence but the things you do not say sometimes
It's not about the things you've said but more in what way sometimes
It's not about what we did but why you wanted to sometimes
It's not about the lie but the reason why sometimes
It's not about the explanation but how it made me cry sometimes
It's not about the here & now but being nearby sometimes
It's not about the future but then you say goodbye sometimes

    Glad to see you posting again! I think the repetition worked here and each line was thought-provoking, not necessarily a contradiction but more of the grey area and reasons why we the things we do. Just like it's not always about a person apologizing or not, taking responsibility or not, it's in the reasons why they did or didn't do it so soon. Then we wonder where we stand in their life.

    So much meaning in this!
