Dance Little Ballerina

by BEJohnson   Feb 3, 2020

An infants sobs was never heard
With a plague upon the fourth.
Januaries ever changing weather
A fathers abuse one of no worth.

His daughter had this one dream
A ballerina is what she wanted to be.
She never got the chance to shine
Her dream had once been incomplete.

Now that dream she lives everyday
Because now she dances in Heaven.
She celebrates her tenth birthday
On today’s date January seventh.

The man who placed her here
Is now locked behind prison doors.
She knows she is free from everything
Her daddy can't hurt her anymore.

She smiles wide as she dances away
Into every angels cherished heart.
She is protected by warmth of love
For once hate can't tear her apart.
